We are self-proclaimed Jersey Shore foodies here at Jersey Shore In Motion. If there’s a sandwich, pizza, pasta, burger, or any kind of dish worth noting, we’re on it. Gathering our information from our own foodie knowledge, fellow locals, and word of mouth, we’ve compiled what we proclaim as the ultimate Jersey Shore Foodie Bucket List. Crab Cakes at Blend On Main

When you dine at Blend On Main, always get the crab cake appetizer. We’re telling you, definitely order other things, but Blend On Main’s signature crab cake recipe with roasted corn and mango and a drizzle of lemon aioli has us dreaming of summer all year long. 152 Main Street, Manasquan (732) 223-0030


Trio of Chowders at The Bonney Read

They may be three separate dishes, but each one deserves its righteous place on your dinner plate. The Bonney Read specializes in everything chowder from the traditional creamy New England Clam Chowder with hints of bacon to the sassy Lobster Bisque with licorice fennel, sherry, and chives, to the not so classic “Jersey Green” Clam Chowder featuring green peppers, fennel, and sausage… yes, sausage These chowders are Jersey Shore foodie classics in the making. 533 Cookman Avenue, Asbury Park (732) 455-3352


Barnegat Light Scallops and Peppered Bacon at Chef Mike’s Atlantic Bar & Grill

When the Barnegat Light Scallops are on special at Chef Mike’s Atlantic Bar & Grill, they’re an absolute must order. Charcuterie Platter at The Cheese Cave
Known for their array of cheese boards, cured meats, and “sandwicheeses,” it’s hard to pick out a favorite at The Cheese Cave. But, if you’re looking to complete the Jersey Shore foodie bucket list, the Charcuterie Platter is up next. A true meat lover’s delight, this board is full with Finnochiona, Sopressata, Coppa Piccanta, and Prosciutto, all complemented by a random rotation of roasted peppers, mixed olives, almonds or figs. 14 Monmouth Street, Red Bank (732) 842-0796


Short Ribs at Dish Restaurant
We may have Chef Anthony Ferrando’s recipe for Dish Restaurant’s infamous Short Ribs up on our site, but no matter how many times we try, nothing beats the real deal. Tijuana Tuesday Tacos at Dive
One of the places to be every Tuesday is Dive in Sea Bright for their Tijuana Tuesday, aka surf night. There’s drink specials, art exhibits, live music, but most importantly – the tacos! In the past, we’ve experienced incredible tacos like: grilled hangar steak tacos, soft shelled crab tacos, shrimp tacos & many more. 1072 Ocean Avenue, Sea Bright (732) 268-7707


Classic Angus Burger at D’jeet

If you’re a burger fanatic like we are, the Classic Angus Burger at D’jeet may be your jam. All the traditional “fixings” have been upgraded. Ketchup? No… how about tomato marmalade? American cheese? Nah, we’ll have the Boursin. Mayo? No way, it’s horseradish aioli and onion relish ladies and gents. Sesame seed bun? Voodoo Shrimp at Drew’s Bayshore Bistro
Chef/Owner Drew Araneo has racked up countless accolades for his Bistro in Keyport. We’ve always enjoyed our meals there, but we always come back to one dish; Voodoo Shrimp. The dish that beat Bobby Flay! 25 Church Street, Keyport (732) 739-9219


Yeero & Village Fries at Greek Eats
Not even open a year yet, Greek Eats is making a big splash in the greater Red Bank area. Their fast casual concept allows you to build your own Yeero (gyro) or Greek Salad in a Chipotle style assembly line. It’s brilliant! Start with angus beef, chicken, pork or bifteki and have fun with the toppings; Greek chimichuri, sriracha tzatziki, feta, kalmata olives, cucumber, pickled onions, tomatoes and much more. Italian Sub with Fresh Mozzarella & Tomato Petals at Joe Leone’s

Start off with the fresh bread, go for all the fixings with your favorite Italian meats, add some fresh mozzarella and roasted tomato petals, and you’ve got a sandwich that may seem simple, but when all the ingredients are just right, it becomes legendary. Sunday Brunch at the Molly Pitcher Inn
We’ve said it before – there is no brunch that can compare to Red Bank’s historical Molly Pitcher Inn. We’re talking fresh waffles, crepes, steaks, oysters and clams, lamb, and of course all of your traditional fixings. Combine these dishes with the sweeping views of the Navesink River and a cocktail and you’re in for a treat. 88 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank (732) 747-2500


Pollo Milanese at Panini Bay

Sometimes what seems to be a “simple dish” tastes like a stellar dish, especially when it’s prepared to perfection. The Pollo Milanese at Panini Bay is a prime example. A crunchy and moist chicken cutlet served simply with slow roasted plum tomatoes, and a salad of crisp romaine lettuce, all dressed with lemon and extra virgin olive oil. Double Cut Stuffed Pork Chop at Patricia’s
With an vast variety of Italian restaurants in the area the competition is stiff. One bite of the Double Stuffed Pork Chop over fresh beet risotto from Patricia’s and you’ll quickly realize that this restaurant to your list of regular haunts. 2132 NJ-35, Holmdel (732) 275-0234


Family Style Dinner at Patrizia’s of Red Bank
The 8 – 10 course family style is a fest for the ages! It’s an onslaught of one delicious course after another, served in Patrizia’s dramatic dining room. We’d say to make sure you save room for dessert, but it’s nearly impossible, yet somehow we always find a way. Grilled Salmon at Piero’s
Veteran Shore chef Michael Cacciuttolo recently acquired and renovated the Bayshore staple Piero’s. On a recent trip, it was evident that he put his touches all over the menu. One of those dishes is the grilled salmon! It’s served with a tomato compote over brocclini and fingerling potatoes in a lemon white wine sauce. Pork Osso Bucco at Porcini
This hidden gem hasn’t been open long, but the buzz has been quickly building. Chef/owner Chris Atamian’s take on short pork osso bucco is one of the best at the shore. Porcini serves them with a sweet potato hash, garlic broccoli rabe and in a maple-whisky sauce. 168 Bay Avenue, Highlands (732) 291-3080

Cocoa/Pepper Beef Carpaccio at Remington’s The Restaurant
Even if raw meat is not your thing, don’t hesitate to order the Cocoa/Pepper Beef Carpaccio at Remington’s The Restaurant. A beautiful salad of toasted pumpernickel, celery, and arugula is served atop thinly sliced beef, then sprinkled with Parmigiano, Sicilian sea salt, and a meyer lemon-black truffle vinaigrette. Raw Bar at Rooney’s Oceanfront Restaurant
With one of the best views in New Jersey, Rooney’s in Long Branch is also one of the best seafood houses at the shore. Their fresh fish board is absolutely outstanding, but their raw bar is off the charts! It’s easily some of the best raw oysters, peel and eat shrimp, and clams we’ve ever had. 100 Ocean Avenue North, Long Branch (732) 870-1200

Ravioli ai Funghi at Senza
Senza is our definition of hidden gem. We heard the rave reviews and in every trip to Senza, we’ve been impressed! our favorite has to be the homemade pasta, and especially the wild mushroom stuffed ravioli served in a fresh tomato mushroom sauce with a touch of cream. 333 Atlantic City Avenue, Bayville (732) 503-4470

Shipwreck Grill
Every Wednesday, a different set of Oysters gets rolled out at Shipwreck Grill. For each 1/2 dozen ordered, you’re offered a complimentary glass of bubbly. We’ve had French Kiss Oysters with Prosecco, as well as 40N Rose Cove Oysters. Each week is a surprise, and it’s one of our favorite surprises at the shore! 20 Ashley Avenue, Brielle (732) 292-9380

Short Ribs at Taka
People rave about the fresh & creative sushi at Taka, but there’s a little secret that only a select few know; the short ribs may just be the best thing on the menu! We were once given the same but of advice and sure enough, its true! 660 Cookman Avenue, Asbury Park 732-775-1020

 Sizzling Black Pepper Filet Mignon at Temple Gourmet Chinese
When we say this dish is sizzling, we mean it and not just because it’s actually sizzling when it’s served to you at Temple Gourmet Chinese, but because it has made it into our sizzle reel of the top Jersey Shore foodie experiences. Spinach, Feta & Mushroom Omelette at Toast
With two locations at the shore (Asbury Park & Red Bank), as well as one in Montclair, Toast is rapidly becoming one of the state’s premier breakfast & lunch spots. The spinach, feta & mushroom omelette is a breakfast treat! It’s served with potatoes and toast. (Make the upgrade to the biscuit and thank us later.) A close second is their Huevos Rancheros. Mussels and Pork Chops at Trama’s Trattoria

The Famous Original Mussels from Trama’s Trattoria are famous for a reason. Served with toasted garlic, tomato gravy (yes, it’s gravy at Trama’s, not sauce), and fresh Brooklyn bread for scraping up those juices, you can see what we mean. Go for a double and order the Pork Chop served with creamy Mascarpone polenta, agri dolce cippollini onion, and oven roasted asparagus. 115 Brighton Avenue, Long Branch (732) 222-1121

The Dare Burger at Tuscan Bistro Bar
Every Thursday, Tuscan Bistro Bar invites their customers to take the ultimate challenge and order the Dare Burger. Tell them how you like it cooked and how spicy you want it, but the rest is up to the chef. He’ll whip up a one-of-a-kind burger that’s made just for you. Pork Chop Milanese at Via 45
Chef/Owners Claudette Herring & Lauren Phillips have been wowing Via 45 patrons for almost seven years. Their menu changes daily, but there’s one dish we always come back for – the Pork Chop Milanese. (Little known secret – you can call them ahead of time, and they’ll try their best to have it on the menu for you). It’s a panko crusted chop that’s pan seared, then finished in the oven. It’s topped with arugula, olive oil, fresh lemon, tomato, onion and white balsamic vinaigrette. One of the best Bloody Mary’s at the shore! With an array of toppings, it’s a meal in itself! So much so, that we’ve gotten full off of just the Bloody Mary before.
